Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson tied the knot in a surprise Valentine’s Day ceremony that brought together Hollywood royalty and the Stranger Things cast.
The 27-year-old actress married the 35-year-old singer-songwriter on Saturday, Feb. 14, in New York City. Her famous parents — Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman — both attended the surprise nuptials, marking a rare family reunion.

Maya wore a white wedding dress paired with an oversized, feathery winter coat. Hutson kept it classic in a tuxedo. Thurman, 55, chose a light blue gown with matching shoes, while Ethan, also 55, went with an all-black ensemble.

The Stranger Things family showed up in force. Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery all celebrated alongside the newlyweds.
Maya’s brother, Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, also attended. Ethan and Uma were married from 1998 to 2005 and share both Maya and Levon.

The couple’s romance became public in 2024 when Hutson confirmed Maya was his fiancée during a SoCal Sound Session interview. By April 2025, Maya was spotted flashing a diamond ring in Manhattan.
Maya first met Hutson while recording music years ago. He opened for Phoebe Bridgers on tour between 2022 and 2023 and was featured on Maya’s 2024 album, Chaos Angel.
In a July 2024 interview on the Zach Sang Show, Maya praised their relationship: “I cannot recommend highly enough dating your friends. It’s the best. They know you.”
Representatives for both Maya and Hutson did not respond to requests for comment on Feb. 15.
